Our Story
When speaking with a hand and lower leg amputee about the challenges of their daily life and what they do to overcome those challenges, they claimed that some of the most difficult challenges that had yet to be solved were those of upper-limb amputations, due to the minimal amount of products available in the market. After doing more research, we realized that innovations are scarce for the upper-limb different community and many problems remain unsolved. On top of that, over 3 million people around the world represent this community and are actively looking for solutions to help them.

We found that one of the hardest challenges in the daily life of an upper-limb amputee is to effectively scrub their residual hand with their amputated hand, and therefore can leave discrepancies in the hand-wash operation. A solution which could provide a soft and comfortable surface to the user would allow them to effectively clean their hands.

After looking at other solutions for the one handed-wash operation, we found that some key things we need were comfort, mobility, and functionality. All products that existed on the market were either too abrasive, didn't clean well enough, or was too rigid for this application. We decided to make a flexible yet sturdy stand that allows the user to bend the sponge head in any direction and use the bunny ears to scrub in difficult to reach places. Our solution gives you the chance to keep up the hygiene and experience less difficulties over the sink.
